I'm a big fan of takoyaki and I would like to know where to get the best in Tokyo. I know it probably won't be as good as what you might get in Osaka but I'm sure they're still good.

Unlike the USA in Japan it seems like everywhere you go someone is greeting you when you walk into a restaurant or shop. I would like to know what the greeting is in Japanese and if posssible what it translates to in English.

Im in japan (Akihabara) and I made myself a promise not to leave the country till I brought my mate back a keikoman figure or something. Where can I buy one? Even a bottle of it would be cool but I cant see it anywhere... :(

(In case you didnt know keikoman is a guy with a human body and a fish for a head. Its the symbol for a soy sauce company and has a really silly song to go with it. SHOW ME! SHOW YOU!! KEIKOMAN!!!)

How do I say You look very nice/Beautiful tonight in Japanese without meaning anything by it? I am going out with some Japanese Exchange Students and I was wondering if anyone knew how to correctly say it (not like the poor translation from online sites).

I have a friend who's going to Tokyo end of October to first week of November, and we're making plans for the trip. How much would the daily costs be for a tourist in Tokyo: Akasaka, Koto, Shibuya, Roponggi, and nearby areas? Any suggestion for a 12 day itinerary?

Costs for food (what type), transportation, books, souvenir items, manga, entrance fee to museums, convenience store, bars,etc..

Thanks in advance!

I know the equipment works and I can receive a signal since I've connected it before - just no time to do it myself.

I have been invited to a Japanese wedding reception but literally my only connection is that I once played soccer with the groom, although he is part of the same Japanese company as I am.

Should I go? If I do, how much money am I supposed to bring?
