I suppose so, if you can afford it. Tokyo has the third highest cost of living in the world.

Tokyo is the capital of Japan, and the place where over 13 million people live, making it one of the most populous cities in the world but also, a big city to visit, find out more with hotelbye . Most of the city was devastated by the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, and then again by the bombing in the WWII, however, Tokyo was able to achieve a remarkably rapid recovery both times. The main attraction of Tokyo is the Imperial Palace with its beautiful 17th-century parks surrounded by walls and moats. The palace is still in use by the Imperial family.

I'd say yes......I seen a show about Tokyo in the travel channel. Tokyo looks like an interesting place to live....But it can be expensive and crowded. I seen what the the apartment rooms look like and it is small, but it still looks like a good place to stay. I heard that the crime rate is low. I would like to move there too.

As for lack of space, Tokyo is like any other big city in the world: NYC, Paris, or London. Sure it's crowded and expensive. But that's what you have to pay for to live in a big city. A lot of Americans from places like Oklahoma and Ohio don't understand that. Now, as for crime rate, Tokyo is way better than the other big cities. One big reason is gun control. What NRA says is true: Guns don't kill people. But you know what? It sure is a hell of a lot easier to kill people with guns than it is with knives or bare hands. You will find Tokyo a lot cleaner than other big cities.

Crime rates are very low.
Really cramped living conditions
Awesome public transportation system in place.
Very expensive to live there.
Extremely varied depending on which ward you are in.
Japan is a modern country, which still has very traditional values
Americans are very well recieved by the natives (as are all Gaijin)
Prepare to stick out. There are very few gaijin per capita
An experience that will last a lifetime
Neighborhood festivals that make it very interesting!
CRAVE JAPAN :) (just made that up) It is really an experience to live outside of your own country to get a feel for the rest of the world, and to me, I see it as a challenge that I would love to take.

I would say yes, japan has one of the lowest crime rates in the world. a parent could let a 6 yr old child walk around at night and not have to worry about them getting snached up. But if you dont want your children exposed to nudety just yet id suggest waiting, japan has a wide selection of childrens book stors with tons of diferent nudety shotes in the books. and cartoons show ton of nudety as well

If you're the kind of person that is hardly every home you will probably like it. Crime rate is very low. Just don't do anything stupid, like pick fights or buy/sell drugs.
