Because in the far west it is still light outside when everyone is going to bed at 10pm. And what about Harbin which is really an hour ahead of Beijing?

whenever i went to a nightclub in china (not a sex club, just a normal nightclub where guys and girls go to drink and dance) there was always this row of beautiful young women wearing really elegant evening gowns and holding what looked like menus. i wasn't really sure what these women do. i think you are supposed to pay them to spend time with you at the club or something. does anyone know if they also work as prostitutes? this being china, i wouldn't be surprised (they seem to have prostitutes everywhere, and it's never very discreet)
