Yes you will most likely need a power adaptor and Converter for the plug and the differnet Voltages. You can get the combination Adaptor and Converter at most Travel Stores. I got mine at REI.

yes, u need that. the power adapter using in china is same as in Australia. u can easily found the appropriate adapter in the duty free zone (but more expensive). actually this kind of adapter is easily can be found in Singapore.

north america is 110v while china is 220v

adapter will be a good idea. however, check the electronics that you'll be bringing. a lot of them has auto convert nowadays or some is ok with both voltage.
