No other provinces use any but Beijing time and, in fact, Xinjiang Province does not keep any unofficial time as such. Almost all of their watches and clocks are set for Beijing time. The Uyghur population (90 percent of the population there before Mao's forced Han migrations began but down to about 50 percent now) have a habit, among themselves, of either setting their watches two hours earlier than Beijing time or answering a "What time is it" check from other Uyghurs by saying "10:15 Uyghur time". The Han are mostly compliant with anything the Beijing government expects so their clocks and watches are always on Beijing time. Even so, all the urban dwellers in Xinjiang tend to set their schedules based roughly on Uyghur time which means they usually start work or school around 9:30 or 10:00, have lunch around 2:00 and dinner around 8:00 (typical Chinese in other places eat dinner early, around 6:00).
