I really liked it when I went there in Late September/early October. Not as many people, nice weather, great scenery.

Late September to early November. Summer is damn hot... later in November, you might either catch the sand storm or getting cold. Otherwise, March/April might also be good. Been there several times, still prefer late September and October.

During the fall season....is the best time because in the summer....Beijing..has a temperature of like 95 fahreinheit and when your in the sun it feels an excessive 100+ fahreinheit....If you go during the winter time...it will become too cold..Sometimes it might even snow...You can go during that time. its just harder to enjoy...the scenery when you have to deal witht he weather condtions..September and October is the ideal time to go see the Great Wall...have fun!

i was there sept. 2005, the weather was great, almost had to wear a sweatshirt.........i recommend that time of the year. it'll still be 100 degrees f in beijing but in the mountains it was just like a september day in wisconsin.

Fall (end of Oct) is perhaps the best time,that's when we have 100's of different colors of gold,red,yellow and brown
of the foliage.

i would visit in may. the weather is really nice in the late spring. going in the summer tends to be really hot.

it depends on what you want to see there, actually any month is okay. nut never go Beijing on Chinese public holidays - all you can see is people. it's horrible. though it's a good place.

the best month is october or may. the climate is the best and you can enjoy your self.
