It wud appear that flights from Bangkok to London are all over-night and leave bangkok about midnight . Why do they do this? It just means you have to wait around all day and then at bed time u set off on a 12 hour journey. Also what do people do with luggage etc. if they have to check-out of hotels at 12 noon and their flight is not for another 12 hours?

My mother have to have her goiter remove as soon as possible.But her Dr charge her 80,000 to hav that operation. Everybody told her that she can find cheaper Doctor to do the operation but we dont know where to start looking.Please help us! She needs to have her goiter remove ASAP!

I've been seriously contemplating a month-long trip to Thailand next month (April). However, I've read that it is the hottest/most humid month and not necessarily the best for travel. I'd be spending time in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and lot of time on the coast and on the islands. I don't mind a little heat, but a combination of heat, humidity and possibly grey skies (the start of the rainy season?) might not be the best introduction to Thailand. Am I wrong? Is it not that different from other tourist season months? Any one with experience care to weigh in?

Alternately, I'm thinking of waiting until late fall/November to travel there and instead heading for Eastern Europe (Prague, Krakow, Vienna). I know, decisions, decisions!

I've been doing some research and I've seen many articles and stuff about Kabuki-cho and Roppongi (I believe there are more?) being dangerous places. Are they really that dangerous? And are there signs or something that tell you where these "red-light districts" are so you can avoid it all together? Thanks.

I am going to Manilla for about a month. For an American to stay loger than 3 weeks, I need a visa. I am currently in Japan and the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo didn't know what to do cause I am an American here. They just told me to go get my visa in Manilla.
