My mother have to have her goiter remove as soon as possible.But her Dr charge her 80,000 to hav that operation. Everybody told her that she can find cheaper Doctor to do the operation but we dont know where to start looking.Please help us! She needs to have her goiter remove ASAP!

apply for philhealth and wait for around three months. go to pgh and have it operated on. in some government hospitals what the patient with philhealth has to do is to sign in and sign out without any cost. you can do that only in government hospital. after all our taxes are paying for it.

80,000 is not a bad price for that operation and you really don't want to have it done for the cheapest price. PGH will be a miserable experience and consider the possibilities of infection. My wife had goiter removed in 1997 at Chong Hua in Cebu and spent 150,000. If you observe the level of health care at those government hosital you will not want your mother to go there.

try to apply at st. luke's medical center as a social service patient. you'll either be handled by the ENT or Surgery department for evaluation. or if you don't want her to be a charity patient, look for dr. raymond jurilla. he is also in st. luke's.
