I am a tourist and will be in Kuala Lumpur from 30 mar to 4 April. I would like to visit Penang on a full day trip. I am booked to stay at The Corus Hotel - Jalan Ampang. Can someone tell me the quickest way other than air to reach the island of Penang.

My heart really goes out to Bong. It seems the poor person has nothing to do but sit and type the same answer over and over - report people for not sticking to travel questions in the Philippine Travel Site. We're taking our first trip to Tokyo at the end of May and are flying in from the US. From what I've read, the best transportation from Narita airport to Shinjuku is via the JR Narita Express (N'EX). I've also read that you must make reservations for this train. My question is, how do you make reservations when airlline travel is notorious for not being on time? There could also be problems with luggage or customs. If you're late for your reserved train, can your tickets be used on the next N'EX train? If we don't get reservations, what are the chances we can just walk up and buy tickets for the next N'EX train?

Hi,

My colleague is going on a business trip to Hong Kong for the trade fair. Most of the hotels jerk up their prices so with her budget, she only managed to find the above 2 hotels.

Can anyone advise on these 2 hotels? Is it safe for a single woman traveller? If you do have personal pictures of the hotel (rooms, facade, whole building, etc), please do post online.

For 2006 I lived in Thailand where I worked as a Teacher. I earned less than $6000 usd. The schools I worked for never gave me an income statement which is typical. Fellow US citizens that have been living in Thailand for awhile tell me not to worry about the income statements (submitting them) and report it as foreign income. They told me they have reported it this way for years without any problems. Is this correct?

By the way I had no US income for 2006. Thai only.
