China was founded by Qin Shi Huang personal name Ying Zheng, was king of the Chinese State of Qin from 247 BC to 221 BC (officially still under the Zhou Dynasty), and then the first emperor of a unified China from 221 BC to 210 BC, ruling under the name the First Emperor. As ruler, he was known for the introduction of Legalism and also for achieving the herculean task of unifying China.
But You have to be more specific about your question what do you mean by China, (Ancient China Dynasty period, Nationalist period, Communist period, Or Republic Of China).
