I grew up there. I'm going there December next year. I'll be coming from Connecticut, USA. It's cold here. And it's warm there. right? I forgot... Is it a bit chilly in Manila when it's december?

If so, how did you find a way to deal with immigration, visa stuff, etc.? I have a college degree, and I'm thinking of finding a job in Japan.

However, I don't know (1) how to do it exactly and (2) how much it will all cost. Any advice?

With the tagalog dialect. I'm full pinoy, rasied in a western culutre, english speaker naman. ang Gusto ko ay magsita atska magsulat in tagalog. Naparakis lang ako magsulat. I am not good at it yet, but at least im trying. Anyways, Meron ba, a class that will teach tagalog around Chicago? I haven't searched, but if there is, that would be great, because I just don't want to understand it fully and speak it, I want to write it correctly. Alam ko na, it's better that I speak it first, but I want the full package and start speaking and writing fluently within A year. I'm so committed, it's my new years resolution! please help me be good at it!

I'm heading east next month for 4 weeks and i have a bucket load of things i want to buy/get while i'm there.
I was in Bangkok earlier this year and damn near wasted 4 weeks because i didnt know where anything was, and i'm not (or at least trying not to) making that mistake again.

I'm after Asian DVD's.
I've read people talking about HMV & such but i know people selling on ebay for $5 a piece arent paying that much so i want what they are getting!!
Martial Arts, HK Action, Anime, Japanese, korean, Thai, anything i can get my grubby hands on.

Computer bits - lots of RAM, software, games (PS2), memory cards!

Clothes - this is where it gets tricky. I want to buy plain t -shirts in wholesale but have my label sewn in. I'm also looking to update my wardrobe with some new stuff.

Stationary - business cards, stamps, letterheaded paper etc

Camera stuff - i have a DSLR so i'm looking for lenses and the such

I'll be staying in Causeway Bay & visiting Shenzhen too.

I need to get there within two hours about. Is that possible? What train from Narita do I have to take? What station do I get off to be at Tokyo Dome? I was wondering if the Tokyo Dome hotel is near the actual Dome itself. Is the hotel hard to find? I was in Borneo a couple of months ago, and i tried two different types of fruit, but i can;t remember what they were called!
One was in a wierd shell, that looked prickly, but the 'prickles' were soft and bendy, you pulled open the shell and there was a fruit, kind of like a lychee, inside with a stone in the middle?
The other one was really wierd! It was like a stick with loads of little fruits on it, and they looked like mini lychees, but there was loads of them and you had to kind of pull them off!
I know my descriptions are a bit vague, sorry! But any info will help, thanks :-)
