I'm heading east next month for 4 weeks and i have a bucket load of things i want to buy/get while i'm there.
I was in Bangkok earlier this year and damn near wasted 4 weeks because i didnt know where anything was, and i'm not (or at least trying not to) making that mistake again.
I'm after Asian DVD's.
I've read people talking about HMV & such but i know people selling on ebay for $5 a piece arent paying that much so i want what they are getting!!
Martial Arts, HK Action, Anime, Japanese, korean, Thai, anything i can get my grubby hands on.
Computer bits - lots of RAM, software, games (PS2), memory cards!
Clothes - this is where it gets tricky. I want to buy plain t -shirts in wholesale but have my label sewn in. I'm also looking to update my wardrobe with some new stuff.
Stationary - business cards, stamps, letterheaded paper etc
Camera stuff - i have a DSLR so i'm looking for lenses and the such
I'll be staying in Causeway Bay & visiting Shenzhen too.

You can get most of what you want in the Monkok Area. Don;t worry, you can get detailed info from just asking around.

You can get cheap apparel from Ladies Market in Mongkok,
take the MTR (metro rail) and walk 10 minutes from the
eastern exit. For computer parts go to Golden Plaza, Sham
Shui Po station or Apliu St. for cellular phones.You will also
find wholesalers for apparels there but you have to walk around
a lot. Most of the Hongkong Manufacturers have moved to
China where costs are cheaper. If you are interested in whole-
sale goods, I can put you in touch with some of my contacts in
that line of business but if you want to buy a few dozen at
wholesale prices, you will be better off getting your goods at

Causeway Bay is a nice, exciting place to stay. The lights never seem to go out. If you want to buy something like computer bits, or clothes, then I would suggest you to go to the Ladies' Market in Mong Kok. There's a lot to buy there and you would want to bargain with those people, they set things at a price for you to bargain, that's what I have always thought. Then you could ask to the directions to the 旺角電腦商場, it's very close to the Ladies' Market. Causeway Bay is also a place to walk around, try visiting the library near it. I forgot what it was in English, but in Chinese: 中央圖書館. Have fun!
