i heard that if you don't have a credit card (i don't want one - too much of a hassle these days), or if you don't have a debit card (ditto), you can pay with cash - BUT, i also heard that paying with cash is rude, an inconvience to check-in, and raises security concerns.........
then i heard about a card where you can "load" up your money on that card - specifically an american express gift card and use that as your "credit card" - is that legal? can you do that? are there any other of these loadable cards out there? what happens if i try to input the number in the card online - will i be stopped because its not a credit card? what do you think about it?

I think I just had mine. the first problem was it was a regional jet where the height was about 6ft tall and I am 6'4. Second the girl that sat next to me was trashed, at 9am, then fell asleep on me, which well wasnt to bad considering she was hot but then just before landing got airsick fortunatly she got the airsick bag out but still the smell was awful. I am probably guessing this is rather tame comapred to some others I will hear.

hello
this might sound daft but do pilots (of passenger planes) all get the same type and level of training in say less developed countries as they do in europe and the west!?
im going on an iranian plane in summer and im worried the pilots wont be as good and the planes wont be as maintained as well as more famous airlines!!
PLEASE dont laugh and PLEASE no racist/hijacking/terrorist jokes please!

My son recently was able to talk his way onto flight because he lost his DL and did not realize it until checking in for flight. He did have a High School picture ID, that may have helped him. He just happens to have a 2nd DL that I was able to FedEx to him for his return flight. He gets home tomorrow.
