'Taxing' is when you add tax to the price of something (like an airline ticket) There are airport taxes, security taxes, fuel taxes, etc...

What I think you mean is 'taxiing', and that is the movement of an airplane on the ground. When it pushes back from the gate the pilot must then drive the plane to the runway so he/she can take off. This driving around is called taxiing.

it moves from the gate - to the runway - where it can take off

or after landing - from the runway to the gate - it's parking place
