Colin came home from the pub late one Friday evening stinking
drunk, as he often did, and crept into bed beside his wife who was
already asleep.
He gave her a peck on the cheek and fell asleep.
When he awoke he found a strange man standing at the end of his
bed wearing a long flowing white robe.
"Who the hell are you?" Demanded Colin, "and what are you doing
in my bedroom?"
The mysterious Man answered, "This isn't your bedroom and I'm
St Peter".

Colin was stunned "You mean I'm dead!!! That can't be, I have
so much tolive for, I haven't said goodbye to my family....you've got to send me back straight away".
St Peter replied "Yes, you can be reincarnated but there is a
catch. We can only send you back as a dog or a hen."
Colin was devastated, but knowing there was a farm not far
from his house, he asked to be sent back as a hen.
A flash of light later he was covered in feathers and clucking
around pecking the ground.
"This ain't so bad" he thought.

What exactly was apartheid? The extent of my knowledge is that it had to do with blacks and whites in South Africa and that it was oppressive..what was "it"?

Were white and black not considered as colors? Any answer will do. It's a fun question to make you guys think about some of the stupidity we had to deal with during the Apartheid years!

Going to all of these places in April. Please give me any ideas for what to do or see. 2 weeks in Joburg, 4 nights in Madikwe, 4 nights at Cape Town & 6 nights in Durban. We're all 23 years old.

(By the way I've been warned about the risks of travelling to South Africa, so please do not give me a lecture about how rough it is. You will not talk me out of this trip 100% guaranteed).

Thanks.

Gee, these criminals have become increasingly "creatively dumb" hey? What next? Whats the most absurd attempt you've ever heard of...?

By the look of things Mr Jacob Zuma is now seeking favour and support from the afrikaner. First the meeting with Stevey and his biltong, then off to visit the afrikaans family that recently fell victim to horrid crimes, and now the statement that" crime is in fact NOT a perception and there is someting wrong in our society as it does not seem to value life any longer"! Welcome to the club bra Zuma, it is about time. We will soon show you the secret handshake. However, I cant help but lend an ear to the little voice that is asking: PERFECT TIMING, DESPERATE PRE - ELECTION RAMBLINGS OR SINCERE COMPASSION FOR THE AFRIKANER?

Is Joe Seremane, the DA's current chairman using the race card as a way to get to the top? I've been reading an article on this topic, this morning.... I wonder as well if he is that desperate to be used because of his skin colour as a means to get a top position, or genuinely wants to get more black people on the side of the DA...
Or is it like any marketing strategy the business minded would use? Like for example, lets tap into an unchartered territory. What would we need to interest our consumers/ supporters? Dangle their kin in front of them as bait, while the DA reels in the lot?
Hey... i'm not voicing any opinions and such, i'm just asking for them from the users... what is your take on this?

many thanks

They only have until july this year to prove they can stage this event otherwise it will be moved to Japan or Korea what are your thoughts on this and remember crime is the other issue that counts against South Africa.

It's happening already.
The thugs of the ruling ANC government are crippling the country under a burden of graft, greed and racism, playing the apartheid/race card every time someone calls them out on their criminality.
Racist laws are in place to steal white owned land and businesses and people are told to leave the country if they don't like the crime.
Worse still, a Marxist witchdoctor is the Minister of Health, who, after ground-breaking research, has discovered that the same remedy for vampires - garlic - is also a cure for AIDS.
The South African rand is worth as much as a roll of toilet paper here in the USA and the country is a killing field for any lost souls that hazard to holiday there.
As more and more farm land is STOLEN from white farmers there, more and more people will starve.
Cest La Vie.

Hell no. Idiot white skinned liberals - crippled under the burden of tons of misplaced white guilt - were happy to protest against the so-called evils of the 'colonial powers' and white skinned people in general, decrying the state of poor Africans under the yolk of these villains.
Now that South Africa has devolved into a crime and AIDS ridden nightmare, we don't hear a peep from these morons, except to blame Africa's failings on the past, which the present South African government is happy to do whilst they loot the country, leaving the black population worse off than they were under apartheid.
A great portion of the blame for the tragedy that is the 'New South Africa' can be placed at the feet of meddling idiots that had nothing to lose themselves.

As sickeningly high as they are we may still only be receiving the watered down version.

The government reports around 50 murders a day and 3 or 4 times that many rapes. South Africa along with Iraq (a war zone) and Colombia, is one of the 3 most violent countries in the world.

There are huge discrepancies between figures released by the medical research council and and those by the government.

Or you were probably not being as aware of your surroundings as you should be!

These are the statements made by a lot of people living in South Africa adopting a certain mindset about crime and trying to come to terms with a violent existence.

(Crime is prolific in South Africa, there are between 50 and 60 murders every day and about 3 or 4 times that many rapes. Along with Iraq (a war zone) and Colombia, we are the worlds most violent countries.)

Movement outside your home is usually restricted to "safe" zones.

So is the above statement fair in assuming that most victims of crime were doing something stupid or irresponsible?

Is anyone else aware that certain soldiers in the South African National Defence Force have now set their sights on the right to unionise and strike/protest. Their argument is that they get paid a salary and thus qualify for these rights. Absolute ignorance toward crime at government level, constant strikes and protests due to gross missmanagement of funds, top officials befriending murderous criminals & not understanding how this could be seen as wrong"finished & klaar", complete dissregard for the public voice, turmoil on our nations streets as our government enters a "power struggle", DISGUSTING incompitence in most senior management and local government posts! Lately I am of the opinion that we are living in a country and on a continent that the first world is laughing at. Any feedback guys?

i had to laugh at this article written in 2004, 17 Nov....
Charles Nqakula said something about the more cars we buy the choice the hijackers have of stealing. So what is this idiot saying? Lets not buy cars and use death traps (taxi's)? For once i see why Alfie boy seems to despise this man, though i still think he is bitter and needs a hug..lol. But i can see why he has issues with Nqakula... my office mom "Paddy Donkin" sent me the article this morning. I wasnt sure wether to laugh or reach out to wherever he is and moer him... gee! they're flocking the government with kings of stupid assumptions/theory... whats you're take on this nonsensical view?

i'm a firm believer that we should deep fry the raping, robbing, murdering scum that are a scourge in our country. right now, they can look forward to free medical, free education and more "human rights" than anywhere else in the world in SA's prisons. The cost ofkeeping one of these bastards in jail is R400 a day.

One lethal injection, or a piece of rope costs half as much.
