JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has testified he launched last year's war against Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon in line with a contingency plan he approved four months before, the Haaretz daily said on Thursday. He told a judicial inquiry last month that Hezbollah's capture of two Israeli soldiers on July 12 triggered the plans for a large-scale attack in Lebanon, the Israeli newspaper said. Israel failed to achieve its declared goals of retrieving the two soldiers taken in a cross-border raid, and destroying the Iranian- and Syrian-backed group's rocket arsenal and military capacity.

Nasrala of the hezbo, not feeling well and concerned about his mortality, goes to consult a Psychic about the date of his death.

Closing her eyes and silently reaching into the realm of the future she finds the answer: "You will die on a Jewish holiday."

"Which one?'" Nasrala asks nervously.

"It doesn't matter," replied the psychic. "Whenever you die, it'll be a Jewish holiday."

An Lebanese man, an American man and Claudia Schiffer were sitting together in a carriage in a train. Suddenly the train went through a tunnel and as it was an old style train, there were no lights in the carraiges and it went completely dark.

Then there was a kissing noise and the sound of a really loud slap. When the train came out of the tunnel, Claudia Schiffer and the Lebanese man were sitting as if nothing had happened and the English man had his hand against his face as he had been slapped there.

The Englishman was thinking, "The Lebanese fella must have kissed Claudia Schiffer and she missed him and slapped me instead."

Claudia Schiffer was thinking, "The English fella must have tried to kiss me and actually kissed the Lebanese fella and got slapped for it."

And the Lebanese man was thinking, "This is great. The next time the train goes through a tunnel I'll make another kissing noise and slap that English bastard again."

I have recently watched documentry about women who can't get divorced because their husbands won't allow it http://www.channel4.com/fourdocs/archive/manhunter.html

Is it really true that under Jewish law even if a man deserts his wife for 20yrs gets remarried..if he won't give his wife permision she can't get divorced from him even though he broke the marriage contract??

Is this law in all of Israel or just for the Othodox?

What do Israelis think of such men who hold women hostage like this?
What 'pressure' can the Israeli government bring to force the husband to give a divorce?

It's always good to know that people that you communicate with on this forum on a daily basis whether for or against are people like me, with dreams and ambitions. I guess what I'm keen to know is the people behind the avatars, besides the troubles of our country, what else interests you?

You produce a R100 note instead of your driver's licence when
stopped by a traffic officer
Ø You continue to wait after a traffic light has turned to green to make way for taxis travelling in the opposite direction
Ø You can do your monthly shopping on the pavement
Ø You can pay your tuition fees by holding up a sign at a traffic light
Ø You paint your car's registration on the roof
Ø You have to take your own linen with you if you are admitted to a government hospital.
Ø Prisoners go on strike
Ø When 2 Afrikaans TV programmes are separated by a Xhosa announcement of the following Afrikaans program, and a Pedi ad
ØThe SABC advertises and shows highlights of the program you just finished watching
Ø You get cold easily. Anything below 16 degrees Celsius is Arctic weather.
Ø You go to "braais" regularly, where you eat boerewors and swim, sometimes simultaneousl
Ø You can sing your national anthem in four languages, and you have no idea what it means in any...lol. 4 kicks

I've come to realise that some ignorant fools grace this category with nothing but sh!t foaming out of their mouths. I mean people who have never been to South Africa or know where the sun sets here... I mean I dont mind people who have been here previously and know whats going on in RSA. But people who will say crap, like when Sweet Angel posted a question involving the murder of a 7 year old and some non South African idiot talked about "The World Cup"...? I mean...hello!?! If its general and you have good insight into the matter, fine. But if you have no clue or experience about it, why not shut it and remain ignorant or read the replies to learn something new about a different country or continent?

Is an easy way out for rapists and murderers?
I'd like to see or have them suffer, rather than give them a quick meaningless death. Some form of bad torture that they'd take they're own live's...or beg for their lives to be taken. Yes i like the idea of leaving the families of the victim with the culprit in a room with an axe.... but... whats your view?
