The locals have long known it, and now UK visitors agree: South Africa is the most beautiful country on earth. In the 2006 Reader's Travel Awards by UK magazine Condé Nast Traveller, South Africa's scenery scored 97.8% - the highest in the world - with the country being voted the world's fifth-best tourist destination.

Now in their ninth year, the awards come out of a comprehensive survey of readers' favourite hotels, spas, cities, countries and more, based on a range of criteria that are then compiled into a score out of 100. In the country category, South Africa's overall score was 94.2% - putting it ahead of other destinations such as Thailand, France, the US, Greece and Malaysia.

This is the sixth year in a row that South Africa has been ranked as one of the world's top 20 destinations...

South Africans living overseas... How beautiful is SA compared to other countries? We live in paradise, don't we? :D

I want to travel from King's Cross to Tower Hill, but apparently the end of the line is Liverpool Street or Aldgate. When the service reaches whichever of these stops, do I have to get off & wait on the platform for a train to resume the 'circle', or can I stay on as it travels in a circle as there is no such 'end of the line'?

Our family of 6 is going to Disneyworld in February. Weighing the options of staying in one of the Disney resorts vs. a nearby (within 5 miles) suite-type hotel or "villa". Staying with Disney costs about twice as much - does anyone know if it is worth it? Do the non-Disney hotel shuttle buses run efficiently (quick on/off), or do they have to wait in long lines to get to the gates?

I've heard it argued both ways - looking for input from someone who has done it recently. Hotel recommendations welcomed as well.
