Pharaohs married and often more than one woman too. In the 18th Dynasty (New Kingdom) they often married their half sister (they had a lot of these since their fathers (kings) had many wives). In other periods they didn't necessarily marry family members.

Though the Pharaohs usually had many wives, there was a chief wife who was usually of the highest social rank (from within the extended royal family or family of a high ranking official). Ideally, it would be the eldest son and son of the chief wife that would succeed to the throne next, but the chief queen didn't always have a son and then the son of a minor wife would succeed his father instead.

Hope that helps.

Of course. That is how they got their children.

...Of the three great non-consort Queens of Egypt (Hatshepsut, Sobeknefru and Twosret), at least Hatshepsut took the title in the absence of an existing word for "Queen-regnant". Also notable is Nefertiti who was made co-regent (the pharaoh's equal) during the reign of Akhenaten. Some scholars further suspect that her disappearance coincides with the rise of Smenkhkare to the throne after Akhenaten's death, making Nefertiti yet another female pharaoh in Egyptian history....

yes, pharaohs married. usually their sister or first cousin. no kidding, they wanted to preserve and insulate their bloodlines. the outcome was predictable - high infant mortality, mental defects, etc

which pharoah are you referring to? There has been many pharoahs. Most pharoahs marry and have more than one concubine in their homes.
