Do people really consider this a sport. What do you think would be a move viable sport, perhaps with more credibility to talent that isn't already an olympic event... I say Wakeboarding.

Was planning a trip, but don't want to shell out the cash if most of the mountain (most importantly, the back bowls) isn't open at that time.

I'm looking to buy a board, but I'm not quite sure what size to get. I'm 5'7" (170cm), 161 lbs (73 kg), and wear a 7.5 shoe size (US)... I've been boarding for a couple of years and prefer freeride. What size board would you recommend?

Also...

I've heard that there sometimes compatibility issues with Burton boards and non-Burton bindings. Are you aware of any issues with a Burton Custom X and Salomon Relay Pro or Relay Series 07 bindings?

I have a pair of ski boots, they smell pretty bad, not of damp or moisture, but more musty, like they've been sitting in a cupboard with no air for 50 years. I'm talking about the inner sock of the boot. How can I get rid of the smell?

When Getting off a chairlift on a snowboard, do I ride flat or on an edge? When I ride flat, I catch an edge and eat it. What should I be doing? Thanks!

I started snowboarding last season for my first time and now I got the hang of it quite well. Last season I rented all my equipment, but I'm now looking to get my own board, boots and bindings. What type/size board should I get? I'm an average/built 23 year old guy 6'0 tall, 200 lbs. I'm looking for a durable/low maintnance board made from WOOD from the best factories (don't care what brand) Something under $300 would be awesome too.

I was told the other other day that Elan sold 20% of all the boards sold in the world today. Which i was quite shocked at as i don't really know that much about them as a company, but apparently they make the boards for ten other snowboard companys. Does anyone know who the brands are they make the boards for?
