Have any of you ever lost a toenail (namely, the big toe) due to excessive snowboarding? This happened to me for the first time this last Spring and I was wondering if that is something "normal" for frequent boarders. If not, then I'll check into new boots this Winter.

I'm not saying gold, but maybe bronze and possibly silver.
These four people have athletic ability.
I won't insult Curling by saying it's possible to do without coaching. So there has to be a qualified coach.

I need some good skating music, and my coach recommended something classical since my last couple programs had Spanish music. I'm skating pre-preliminary, and I skate at medium speed. Any advice? I need a fast, slow, fast or slow, fast, sow section in the music, too.

I have been figure skating for 16 years now, and i have worked my *** of to get as far as i have gotten (im pretty darn good). Some people like to say figure skating is not a sport... and gosh darn it they're right! Its a COMPETITION. Any time there are judges deciding who wins or who doesn't, its no longer a sport b/c you are competeing to get the judges to recognize that your the best. BUT ..... if ANYONE says that figure skaters are not athletes, your damn wrong. I am interested in the publics opinion of figure skating and the skaters...

This is what I mean: which skaters are dating other skaters? For example, pairs teams, ice dance teams, or singles skaters.

WHY DO THEY PLAY WITH TEA KETTLES AND BROOMS. and also, you are not considered an athlete if you play curling and it is an embarrassment to the winter olympics

just some curling fun!

10) There are only 4 positions and you only have to be good at one of them.

9)When you yell Harder, Harder somebody actually pays attention. And they actually ask you how deep you want it.

8)You get to do it with the lights on, so you can see what the other end looks like.

7)Curling lasts at least 2 hours. Sometimes you even get to go into extra ends.

6)You have 2 people to help get the short hairs out of the way. (and when your finished, someone else has to clean the sheets)

5)If it's not going your way you can always quit and head straight to the bar.

4)You don't get criticized for coming early. (But it's frustrating when your always coming up short)

3)Women are always trying to tuck it in behind, while the men just want to hit and roll away.

2)Playing through the tight holes is really exciting. (But the bigger the hole the easier it is to come through)

1)IN curling inches REALLY do matter, but if in doubt you can always MEASURE.

How is it that everyone in the curling section is always so critical of curling? Have any of you have actually tried it? and if you have, can you honestly say that it was easy? Don't knock it unless you've tried it, the game takes stamina, coordination, strength, and BRAINS!! Go try it!
