I got my first gear on ebay, some good bargains there.
Also go to the Ski & SNowboard Show in the NEC or the one in London, loads of shops selling previous seasons gear!

Hope this helps ... can't wait for winter!

TK MAX!! Well cheap - obviously not the best quality - - - but very cheap, and perectly acceptable for a couple of seasons. Or - try Gumtree.com - this is full of Ozzies and South Africans trying to get rid of there stuff before they go off home - loads of really good deals on bits and pieces - not sure about boarding gear, but its def. worth a try.

Local snowboard shops should be able to tell you when the local ski/snowboard swaps are. Also, a local discount hunting/hardware store should have discount jackets and waterproof bib overalls that will keep you plenty warm and dry.
