How is it that everyone in the curling section is always so critical of curling? Have any of you have actually tried it? and if you have, can you honestly say that it was easy? Don't knock it unless you've tried it, the game takes stamina, coordination, strength, and BRAINS!! Go try it!

Part of me will always find the concept curling funny...yes, it is sophomoric I suppose but its also another way to enjoy the sport, don't you think? and curling does have a certain elaborate "ritual-like" perculiarness about it. I have yet to see the film "Men With Brooms". Maybe it will help clarify the psycology behind this disorder.
In my early 40's and I've never tried but i am becoming "curling-curious"! I know a handful of curlers and they all have an extreme intensity about the game that is similar to golfers...its been a while since I checked but I don't see that many questions posted.

i tried it a few times, usually just when i needed a reminder of how hard it is. i have a cousin that does that, and its friggin retardedly difficult.

i think ppl dont really get it, its not like basketball, or hockey, where theres a more clear goal for the players. but, that doesnt make it easy, because its really really friggin hard.

I think it's great; my whole family loves playing at the local rink. It's skating ice so it's not the best surface but none of us are professionals anyway.

Some people have low self-esteen, so they have to knock things they know nothing about in order to feel better about themselves.
