Well I don't know if this counts, but I will say it anyways, My aunt and uncle took me snowboarding this year for one week out of our two week spring break. Then as soon as we got back I got home and packed another suitcase full of bathing suits to go to the beach. Anyway, you will find how this falls into play later.

Well I went snowboarding for a week, It was my first ever doing any kind of winter sport. I loved it, but always ended up falling. I ended up with a ton of bruises everywhere, all up my arms, legs, back, but mostly my bottom.

So like I said I came home and unpacked my suitcase full of sweaters, hoodies, and jeans. And packed it full of shorts, T-shirts and bathing suits because My dad's side of the family was going to Florida for the last week of spring break.

So on our way there we are driving in the car. I keep moving around. My mom, dad and brother kept asking me what I was doing. I said I can't help it. (My bottom was bruised so bad that it wasn't like a brown bruise, but it was dark black and dark blue.) It hurt so bad that I kind of pushed myself up for the whole 7 hour car trip.

Then I couldn't even enjoy the beach, I couldn't surf because I couldn't sit on my board and wait for a wave, I couldn't skimboard because I couldn't bend down to jump a wave. Then I couldn't even swim, because when I was playing in the water my cousin called me to look at his sand castle, when I turned around a HUGE wave came and borek right before it his my bottom, I was trying so hard not to cry.

So that is why snowboarding ruined my trip to the beach. But it was the best thing I have ever done and I wouldn't take it back for the world. I can't wait to go back later this year.

yes
snow skiing
i was crossing a groomed run heading for the powder in the trees
because of bad lighting i didn't see the ditch between the run and the trees
i landed in a full body/face plant on the opposite ditch wall
my neck snapped
i have a ruptured cervical disk
it hurts a lot
been a couple of years now
not bad enough for surgery but bad enough for chronic pain

Broke both legs at the tibial plateu and ruptured right ACL skiing. Occurred at Pico Peak, VT, in poor visibility, I flew over a bump I didn't see in time to do anything about it.

Racing Boarder-X and got bucked off the last big jump and landed flat on my back from about 30 feet up. Broke seven ribs and two molars, bruised a lung and gave myself a pretty good concussion.

It sucked.

Yeah I broke my leg while tobogganing. I hit a tree. Believe it or not it is a very common accident. A lot of people die when they hit a tree either tobogganing or skiing. Eg. Sonny Bono and one of the Kennedy's
