I'm leaving for Colorado in less than a week, so I don't really have much time to buy snow boots off of the internet. And since I live in Texas, there isn't really a wide variety of boots to choose from. So, I was wondering if regular rubber rain boots would work for walking around and playing in the snow? Would Ugg boots keep my feet dry since the snow won't be all melty like it is down here? Would Scotch Guard work if I sprayed it on Ugg boots? Any ideas??

When you get there, what do you do? feeling? does anybody applaud at the end of your program? or eerie silence and then forced clapping? I cant remember since it was so long ago. HELP ME!

Ok, I have been figure skating for some time and I intend to get my own skates. I have read up on skate care guides about how to protect your skates. But just wondering, do you wash your skates? Won't it smell after wearing it for some time and you sweat?

I have started to go to the gym every day for two hours because even though in my town there isn't a thing in which someone can learn to skate i want very much to go to learn. I am 17 years old and that thing was created a year ago in the capital which is 2 hours from my place. I wasn't able at all to learn because i wanted to skate since 14 years old and there wasn't that. And i want to compete one day. Do i have possibilities to succeed that or should i forget it once and for all?

Ok.. I can do it from backward crossovers. Just when I'm about to cross over, I stop. I think it's my shoulders (uneven). How can I change the bad habit?

What angle (in degrees) should I set my snowboard bindings to?
Question Details: I'm goofy foot and have a really hard time turning to my right hand side. Sometimes my back foot just kicks out. I realize everyone has a side that's harder to turn on but was wondering if there's anything I could do. I'm not new at snow boarding but haven't owned a board in a long time and don't want to wear out the anchor nuts fiddling around with the bindings a bunch of times. My back foot binding is set at 0 degrees and the front foot is at 15 degrees. Hopefully someone knows what i'm talking about. Thanks!

Tomorrow I might be entering a downhill skiing race, slalom style, which is free for all to enter so long as they have a lift ticket for the resort I go to (I have a season pass.) The event is called the Mountain Dew Verticle Challenge. I'm 17, and will be skiing with other 15-17 year olds. I can ski the run in question in a full tuck straight down without a problem, but I've never skied gates before and have had no racing instruction. What do you suppose my chances are?

I am interested in figure skating. I am 17 years old and i have started gymnastic a week ago, but the problem is that in my town there isn't a school(i don't know how you say it)for skating, there is only one in the capital of my country. And it is really difficult to go there. I first saw skating in TV 4 years ago and i was interested very much but now i feel that i want it more and i don't know what to do. First of all, can i start even if i am 17 years old? Second, i don't think that gymnastic is going to help me a lot. Please, i need advice.

I am 32 years old and am obsessed with figure skating. I want to learn some tricks that are fun to do and just some basic skating technique. But, I don't want to take group lessons with a bunch of 4 and 5 year olds. Any advice out there on how to go about this including what is reasonable to expect to accomplish...the style and kind of boots/blades to get...etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The symbol looks like 2 v's on top of each other. One is right side up the other is upside down. It makes a diamond in the middle where the 2 v's meet with the arms extended. Any ideas? I've seen this symbol a million times but I don't remember who it belongs to.

Okay so I have developed rub marks from my boot and so has my daughter. I am wondering what solution you would have to this problem. I have seen cushions and I wonder how effective they are, and where can get them at an inexpensive or the least priced cost. I have also seen briefs with cushions in them to better cushion falls. Any thoughts on these?
