I would go to Sutton.
((The tickets are cheaper (48$ CAN vs 59$ USD))and it is closer to Montreal.
I've been to Sutton many many times and they always have great conditions with alot of powder snow/fresh snow. The lines at the lifts are not that long and...I don't know, I was always very pleased with my day...

Jay Peak has more to do in only one day, the great restaurants in the morning, the great mountain for skiing, and at night the bars/waterpark. Jay has a lot more to offer for your money.

not sure about either one of them and i dont ski but i would check the internet and what ever one had the most corses i would go to.
