I am a figure skater myself, and my favorite skaters of all time would have to be Jamie Sale and David Pelletier, they were put through so much controversy during the Salt Lake Olympics and still came out on top. I met them a couple times and they are the nicest people. Jeffery Buttle is also one of my favorites, he has so much passion and talent and is definately a threat in the next olympics!!

I have not been following figure skating for very long so I am not caught up all of the history of it, but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be Midori Ito. My gosh, she could jump. The triple axle that she landed at the 93 adult championship was picture perfect.
I've never seen anyone so happy when they skate. I also like Shizuka Arakawa. The way she moves on the ice is so dream-like. As far as who I am cheering for this year: I like Mao Asada. (as you can tell, I have a thing for the Japanese skaters). I think it will be fun to watch her mature over the next eight years or so.

My fav ladies figure skater? None other than the great Sasha Cohen. Why?
"She skates to the music... but she also skates to more than just the music."
"Other skaters just skate to Romeo and Juliet, but Sasha is Juliet."
These two quotes by Dick Button and Peggy Fleming tells you exactly why. I love her amazing choreography and her expression on the ice.
Fav pair? Ekaterina Gordeeva and Sergei Grinkov. Those two are the best pairs I have ever seen. Their story was sad but touching and inspirational. And I love Daria Ginkov she's so cute!

I think Sasha Cohen is if you're speaking figure skaters NOW. But she doesn't take skating as seriously now because of that modelling and acting stuff. Whatever happened to fire on ice?

I don't know if she still skates a lot, however when Sarah Hughes won the olympic Gold I thought she was awesome. I don't know if she is the best, but she beat out Kristi Yamaguchi that year and Kristi was supposed to win the gold. I think that if you were thought to be the last man out and you weren't really given support but then you suprised everyone by winning the gold that has to make you the best even if at least for a little while...

I think it is Michelle Kwan because of all the things she has brought to the sport, but I think that Alexi Yagudin is one of the best skater's too.

As a kid, I loved Kristi Yamaguchi. I think it was because I impressed with her triple lutzes. ;)
