Snowboarding, of course. Although skiing can be fun,
everything that pctorab has said is an opinion from someone that doesn't know the first thing about riding and has just picked out the stereotypical beginning snowboarder. Sure there are plenty of fat little poseur kids snowboarding, but there are plenty skiing too. Skis are not any faster than snowboards and are equally, if not more maneuverable than skis. As for snowboards being useless in the trees, steeps, and moguls, that is bullsh*t. Any real rider knows that steeps, trees, and moguls are the best part of riding, not the park. Snowboards function just as well as skis in these areas.

give snowboarding a shot. try to go with people who know how to or atleast get like a 1hr lesson. if you try to by yourself it may not be pretty. the morning will be rough cause you'll most likely spend a lot of the time on your but or knees. maybe invest in some wrist guards. snowboarding and skiing are completely different. i started skiing 12 years ago and switched over to my board 6 years ago. there's no comparison. i skiied recently just for the hell of it but i found that i was getting bored on the hills. snowboarding is great, just dont get discouraged your first time around because you cant make it all the way down the hill without falling.

Snowboarding hands down!!!! I skied for 10 years, tried boarding, loved it, and I'm never going back to skis! Its so much more fun, and all the guys do it.

Skiing, it's no contest. Skis are faster, more maneuverable, and less awkward then snowboards. Most talented, athletic people prefer to ski, whereas most snowboarders tend to be little fat kids who are trying to act cool. Skis are especially fun in steeps, moguls , and trees (where snowboards are all but useless).

Skiing is fun but boarding is the source! I have been skiing and boarding forever.. But when Im big mountain it's always on a board!
