She has gone out to the range with me in the past and now she desires to have a weapon with her for personal protection. The problem is I really don't know much about them and would like some advice. I would like to stay under $500. I currently own a Glock and was looking at a couple of Glocks. A co-worker of mine recommended a revolver. Let me know what you think

Hey everyone!
Im 16 and have been riding for a while, and i think i am ready to buy my own horse. Ive done the research and everythin, i know where i would board it, and all that stuff.
I am just wondering two things:

1. What breeds are good for a first-horse buyer? (a friend reccomended Hanoverians 'cause they have a great personality and are versatile)

and

2. How long should you have been riding before you get your own horse? Some people at the equestrian center i ride at only waited three years, some waited more. How long should you have been riding before you get your own horse, 'cause i dont want to get this horse and not be ready for it.

Thanx sooo much everyone!!

If you want to learn to fly these things, I know you should use an instructor who is a member of 'British Hangliding Paragliding Association' (BHPA) and a qualified instructor. but is there any other body who could teach you safely? Or is it best to use a member of the BHPA and what sort of proof should they have that they are qualified to teach? How dangerous is this sport?

I've been looking at airsoft guns on many sites. But on shortyusa.com it says the utg ak-74's fps is like 350 with a 150 ft range but on airsoftgi.com says it's like 300 fps and 100 ft range. Which company is right? Is that company usually more accurate?

Colt, Smith & Wesson
, Kimber or Springfild Armory. Those are the ones I have been looking at, I have about a $1,000 budget , don’t want to go over to much, but will for a good gun.

For example cotton is famous for losing its insulation effect when wet and wool is famous for keeping its insulation effect when wet. What about other fabrics are there any others that are particularly good or bad when wet?

I want to start backpacking and progress into trekking with rock climbing. I am psyched to spend days in the woods with just the bare necessities. Wheres a good place to sign up for treks and really learn with experienced people? What gear should I get to start with? Any clubs that I can join that arrange trips?
Oh yeah, I live in Connecticut so if I could do it around here without flying all over the place that would be great.
