If you want to learn to fly these things, I know you should use an instructor who is a member of 'British Hangliding Paragliding Association' (BHPA) and a qualified instructor. but is there any other body who could teach you safely? Or is it best to use a member of the BHPA and what sort of proof should they have that they are qualified to teach? How dangerous is this sport?

in britain, the BHPA is the one to go with

the sport isn't that dangerous if well taught, with consideration to weather etc - the bhpa outline risks etc on their website

as for teaching - the second link provides bhpa-approved schools
