Sunday Nov. 4, I'm getting a mongoose skateboard from my local wal-mart. I've heard that is not good for skateboarding, but i'm just gonna ride it. Not no tricks or any thing that could be different when I buy a Pro-Brand Skateboard. What do I need???

I bought a mongoose skateboard, They are so damn heavy, the trucks suck and the wheels are crappy. When you get a on real board with smaller wheels and a very loose board for better turning it will be almost a new experience. The mongoose will give you the balance and basics you need for skateboarding but don't try any tricks with it cause it's so damn heavy.

But yeah if it's just for riding go ahead and purchase a better board when you get the feel for it.

if your just gunna ride it i wouldn't spend the money for a new deck it would be ten times cheaper for you to bet some good pro wells and bearings from a local skate shop another idea would be to get a long board for like sidwalk surfing tho tey are expensive they are alot of fun to just ride around town or back and forth to school. if you arnt gunna do tricks just get some bearings and whees and you will be good

Helmet. Plus you need to realize that you are never going to amount to anything if you pursue skateboarding. Pick up a chessboard and start thinking.

I enjoy baking.

I'd save up for a better beginner board. It will make a large difference on how you learn. It may also make you want to skate more...
