i've noticed this is commonplace here. someone wanted to know how old is the nfl. two people correctly answered with 1920.
the person picking 1869 was picked.... that was the start of what would become the ncaa.... could it be misinformed people voting or just picking the first anwer that shows up?

I'm really shy and I just joined a track team. We've had two conditioning meets, and everyone on the team talks to eachother. One girl invited me to go running with her and like 3 other girls over the weekend so I did, but they all were talking and I didn't know what to say! At track practices there's a few people who I say Hi to, but I never know what to say after that, I don't know how to join convos with them or introduce myself to people, I feel like I'm bothering them or they'll be wondering why I'm talking . How can I be more friendly and start convos with people because I want to make friends with people on the team.

I am thinking of rappelling into a 200 foot cave in Belize with my 3 teen boys. Most of the pictures are of thin women and young men. Will that skinny rope hold my weight? There will be a 180 feet of free hanging while I drop down. Does this sport requiere good upper body strenth? Who does a novice check the equipment before going? How should it be attached to be safe?

live in a bad neighborhood and the nearest gym is about 30 minutes away, i dont have a treadmill but i do have a Taebo Tape. I was told to lose weight and get rid of cellulite to run and drink lots of water, but i am in the situation where i do not have the option to run as much as i would like to.

Would taebo be a good alternative?

help, 28 year old woman
I'm training for a challenging physical test which measures strength and endurance. I have been training for a couple of months but have not seen much improvement as far as strength goes. I used to be very skinny and now have tried to eat more to gain some muscle weight, but I"m afraid that I may be doing something wrong (not eating right, or not training right). the test is about 6 months away. Does anyone have any good ideas or input? Any good websites for excercise routines? I'll take all the help I can get.

Are females genetically more gifted in calf muscles than males?
I have seen many young girls and women with muscular calves, but hardly any boys and men with calves of the same standard.

Those young girls with muscular calves are usually gymnasts, and start working out very young, while boy gymnasts do not start working out so young. Does this give an advantage to females to have more muscular calves, or do other sports also give a chance for genetically gifted boys to develop their calves? I see many girls as young as 9 with sick-looking calves, while no boys of any age have come close to that so far. Even skinny young girls have more developed calves than boy swimmers with very well developed upperbody muscle.

Why is it that i always see many women with muscular calves but hardly any men with muscular calves? Does wearing high-heel shoes develop the calf muscles? Ultimately, are women genetically more gifted in calf muscles and is there any hope for men to catch up?

For my Media Studies Mock Exam one of the questions is why do people watch television sport? Is it just to support your own team or is there more psychological reasons for it?

With so much money involved, do you think some of these games are fixed? There have been incidencts where players and/or referees have been bribed at the college level and in other countries -- but you never here about fixed games in the US.

I find it hard to believe some of the late comebacks I have seen or spreads overcome in the last seconds while online betting is going on.
