Are females genetically more gifted in calf muscles than males?
I have seen many young girls and women with muscular calves, but hardly any boys and men with calves of the same standard.
Those young girls with muscular calves are usually gymnasts, and start working out very young, while boy gymnasts do not start working out so young. Does this give an advantage to females to have more muscular calves, or do other sports also give a chance for genetically gifted boys to develop their calves? I see many girls as young as 9 with sick-looking calves, while no boys of any age have come close to that so far. Even skinny young girls have more developed calves than boy swimmers with very well developed upperbody muscle.
Why is it that i always see many women with muscular calves but hardly any men with muscular calves? Does wearing high-heel shoes develop the calf muscles? Ultimately, are women genetically more gifted in calf muscles and is there any hope for men to catch up?
