A coach told my daughter to start wearing a batting glove on her hand when she performs her pitching drills at practice. What is the benefit of doing this? Thanks for you input!!!

My guess would be to get a better grip on the ball, allowing it to have a more favorable release point, thus increasing velocity and movement of the pitch.

I can't imagine why. Maybe the coach feels that if she can do it with a glove on she'll be able to do it better without.

i played fast pitch for 20 years andnever did that ,,,, it is something that must be new
