I'm scared of falling on floor, vault, bars and especially beam. I don't want to break a bone or be paralyzed for life. I've seen the stuff that happens to people. And I'm 11. Am I too old?

First of all in my opinion wrestling, boxing, and mma are the toughest sports. Wrestling there are no time outs and you wrestle for 9 minutes straight trying to physically control your opponent with out hurting him. In football you take breaks every 15 secs and i feel all u have to be in foot ball in big and strong and thats about it. Wrestling boxing , and other fighting sports are the toughest because you do more work continously and the only breaks you get are the 15 sec breaks imbetween round.

Seems we are stuck with the two cartoon characters engaged in a very adult act for the logo of the 2012 games.

£400,000 for something that looks as though it was drawn in the 1980's by some guy on his tea break.

THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE HAVE SAID HOW BAD IT IS AND YET WE HAVE BEEN IGNORED.

What do you think?
Do you feel let down?
Do you think that the other countries are having a good laugh at us?
Is this the first of a long line of expensive Foul-ups?

In the first week after the launch of the 2012 logo, which looks like a kid drew it, 12 epileptics were reported to have had events after watching it. 4 on the day of the launch, If this is the case and Tessa Jowett is so pleased with it doesn't this show that, we, epileptics are still being treated by the current government as though we don't exist. (We have had centuries of persecution let it end now for god's sake!!) The Olympics are supposed to be for everyone to enjoy not just those who have "Normal" brains.

I think its daring, fresh and powerful, like a proper athlete! Its ahead of its time, but its in line with modern 80's trends. Have you seen it on a movie clip? it really comes to life!
At first i was really disappointed but its growing on me. Everyone says they could do better. they couldn't! If they could make 400k out of art and design, belive me, they would. Its a work of art, well worth the money they paid for it.

We should have an easier-on-the-eye logo.Instantly recognisable. No fussy, arty stuff thankyou. I prefer, so far, 'The London Underground' logo. It's recognised the world over as a symbol of England and London.....people associate with this symbol. We sat and watched the promotional video and didn't know what it represented.......come on, something more simple, instantaneous and obvious.Perhaps get children to design it......?

After the furore about the escalating cost of the Games and the cost to Londoners personally, don't you think that the £400,000 they spent on the logo was money well spent? I doubt anyone in the world could have come up with a better design.

The advantage to London of hosting the Games is phenomenal - our superb public transport system could really do with an injection of millions of extra people on it in the middle of the summer and our well-maintained roads are so empty a few thousand extra coaches and buses won't be noticed.

OF COURSE, ALL OF THIS IS SARCASM. The logo is a pathetic extension of the self-indulgent egotism of Lord Coe and the rest of the Olympic Committee who, it appears, are on a 5-year junket at our expense.

We have enough drug-takers in London without hosting the drug-fest that the Olympics has now become. It's bad enough that the Tour de France is coming here.

Is there no one in any position of authority to shout "Stop, this has gone too far"?

Name the athlete and the country they represent. I'm a track athlete and I do running long jump. I would like to know the best long jumper in Olympics. Something to motivate myself. If possible, can someone name a good movie based on Track and Field.

Thanks for the help.

1) Each country nominates only 1 person per event.
2) Only gold medals will be awarded..silver and bronze are for losers.
3) Swimming events..just have set distance races instead of different stroke races.
Any other ideas ???

If they can't organise that then what is the point of there being a GB team? Surely the home nations should compete separately.
