In the first week after the launch of the 2012 logo, which looks like a kid drew it, 12 epileptics were reported to have had events after watching it. 4 on the day of the launch, If this is the case and Tessa Jowett is so pleased with it doesn't this show that, we, epileptics are still being treated by the current government as though we don't exist. (We have had centuries of persecution let it end now for god's sake!!) The Olympics are supposed to be for everyone to enjoy not just those who have "Normal" brains.

It is not the logo which caused photosensitive epileptic reactions - it was the horrible short film produced by some third rate, rank amateurs at a cost of hundreds of thousands of pounds. They added false colours - fluourescent pink, yellow, green and blue - to the rings created when a high diver hit the surface of a swimming pool, and they cycled through the colours so fast that the flashing effect was created. F*ck*ng imbeciles. There is a template to use to make sure all films and video productions are compliant with regulations so they do not cause such reactions - how could these morons get such a simple thing wrong?

Hey. Look, I think it should be eaten by my little brother. He would eat anything like that ... and probably draw something as atroscious as it. Its a complete waste of money and time. But thats not the point. The point is that its bad for epileptics and it will cause seizures. I think that they would try and make it look like a retro 80's thing (ecch), and they'll have all these colours flashing in the backround when they go to the ad-break. U know how they have the logo's of the show name 2 seconds before the ads start. yeah, Its just stupid. Very harsh for those with epilepsy

I understand alot about epilepsy because we did this "Epilepsy Trivia Challenge" in class today, and i learnt that about 4% of the worlds population might have seizures from the pile of vomit they call a logo.

I thought they banned the animation video that caused the epileptic fits...?

The logo is ugly, I'll give you that... but the video that caused problems has been pulled and banned.

See here:

So yeah... I don't think the logo itself has caused any problems; just the animation that has already been pulled. I assure you that your government isn't trying to persecute you for being an epileptic.

Hope this helps!

In the grand scope of things, I can't get too upset about the logo. I also doubt any seizures as a result but more of a coincidence. Maybe the next time a logo is made it will please absolutely everyone.
