Come on, Asian-Arts can unleash a can of whoop-@ss of boxing. Jet-Lei vs. Muhammad Lee, Jet-Lei al hands down. Bruce Lee would Kick his @ss too.

Kung-Fu, Karate, Tei-qun-do, Asian Arts have influenced the western culture. Than any other arts. People are not willing to accept it, Asian arts are the best swords fight, spears ever in fighting.

No ONE CAN BEAT BRUCE-LEE BACK WHEN HE WAS ALIVE, NO ONE CAN BEAT UNG-BUCK, JACKIE CHAN, JET LEE.

Werestling, boxing, those are just wimpy fighting. Asian arts rule?

i am interested in taking a martial arts class. however, i'm not sure which i should look into. aside from the traditional self-confidence and discipline goals, i am also looking to find one that will help me get into better shape and be overall healthier. any suggestions? i'm open to some of the non-traditional martial arts as well. thanks!

Is it worth it? in some systems you are required to break wood to show power, but I dont really want to.

I've been wanted to get back into martial arts for a while now, but I'm having trouble deciding on a style. I did Kenpo years ago, but I'm not sure if I want to do that again or not. I would rather focus more on striking than grappling, something where speed and agility count for more than strength, and maybe have some weapons training. I've considered Kung Fu and TKD, but I'd rather stick with the Japanese styles if I can. I'm also looking into Aikido, even though its mostly grappling. So what would you recommend? Thanks in advance.

I've looked everywhere. Even on wikipedia it only says the history. Is it Aikido and Jiu Jitsu combined? What are some of the techniques?

This is a totally serious question. The fact is, women have two very good reasons to avoid combatitive sports and they're both attached to their chest.
I mean...don't you get hit in the breasts over and over if you're sparring? The chest is pretty much the #1 target, so it'd seem kind of impossible for women to compete in this sort of thing.

I trained for 2 years in MMA and got my black belt and now I help teach in the school. But this weekend I was at the bar and this small guy pissed me off, so I hit him, but then he beat me up. I am supposed to be one of the best fighters in the country my teacher said, but some little guy kicked my a$s. What bullcrap!

I want to get my money back and go to a real school where I will learn how to beat anyone's a$s who has the nerve to piss me off.

Dop you think I can get my money back?

I've found a strong interest in Aikido, mainly because of the mental thinking, that it takes years to master, and is non voilent. I have found a Aikdio Dojo in London, classes start from 30July. Does anyone have any teaching(wisdom)/history of Aikido websites, as i've been reading some and look very interesting.

Also im 16 ,slim, and in decent shape do you have any advice on fitness activites, as i know Aikdo is'nt very active, more slower

I recently hurt myself while sparing in the dojo. My ex-rays came back and stated that I had fractured both of my shins. I know that chi can help a person heal faster and I was wondering if anyone would know some exercises that i could do to move chi to places other than my fists.

There is Wing Chun, Shotokan Karate, Freestyle Karate, and bunch of Taekwondo. There are more but I'm not sure if they're really qualified. Some of those are, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Japanese Jiu Jitsu, Aikido, and Goju Ryu Karate. Please help me choose.

No, I mean literally. Have any of you ever been taught how to fall correctly? My master taught us it and I can't remember what he called it, but your neck should never ever touch the floor. I am in so much pain because of it!

I made a challenge to a paticular person, guess that is why it got booted out. Anyway a paticular third dan in TKD was the focus of my "challenge" I was and am just not on the same page as this person, thank goodness. According to this person it is kata all the way. As well you must be trained by a "master" what ever that means. Anyway one night I got totally upset and made a challenge. Bring your belt and prove that your way is better than mine. If you lose, lay your belt at my feet. Anyway that got tossed out. I don't care if anyone agrees with me or not.
Question: Why not bring back the good old day were "masters" challenged other person if you didn't win you were not as good as that person.
This is my way to attempt to get that on.
puY.
