What about wing chun kung fu/qi gong. A positive side effect of practising Wing Chun Kung Fu is to bring the body's energies into balance.

Wing Chun promotes and strengthens the body's capability for healing. The combination of mental and physical movements relieve problems that may result from injury or illness.

Wing Chun can help with:

Stress
Poor circulation
Joint problems
Constipation
Fatigue
Abdominal tension
High blood pressure
Back pain
Muscular tension
Muscle spasm
Sciatic pain
Male & female reproductive disorders
General health
Discomfort during pregnancy
Many other complaints

Physiologist Dr. Kerstin Uvena-Moberg of the top research hospital, Karlinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden along with other scientists have demonstrated that skin-to-skin contact can help lower blood pressure, reduce stress and stimulate the immune system because such sensual activities release the hormone oxytocin. An example of an appropriate activity can also be done through the practice of Wing Chun, especially Luc-Sao and Chi Sao (sticky hands) which, in addition, develops the fighting aspects.

Tai Chi is not as common as other types of martial arts and is harder to find. You might try looking in the parks and rec departments or in some of the old age communities and may find an instructor there since it is most popular for older people and some of these communities or places offer it for senior citizens. Look for yoga since it stresses some of the same aspects such as proper breathing in certain posses and stretching techniques as well as will develop good balance and coordination for you. Some types of yoga when done at higher levels will give your heart a cardiovascular work out just like Tai Chi will.

There are a ton of Tai Chi places where I live... do a search on Yahoo Yellowpages for "Tai Chi" and "Taiji." Also Chi Kung and Qi Gong.
