I've looked everywhere. Even on wikipedia it only says the history. Is it Aikido and Jiu Jitsu combined? What are some of the techniques?

From what I've learned and read about "Aiki-jujutsu", or any alternate spelling thereof, it has been considered either an intermediary between Daito-ryu Jujutsu and Aikido, or another full offshoot/evolution from Daito-ryu.

Sometimes I've seen the term is used interchangeably with Aiki-budo, but from most sources this would seem to be incorrect. Also, some modern schools using the name Aiki-jujutsu are in fact Aikido dojo(s) that practice a "harder" style of Aikido.

For more information there is a Wiki entry here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aikijutsu

From what I know of it, Aikido founder Morehei Ueshiba studied Daito Ryu Aikijujitsu under Sokaku Takeda and later incorporated his knowledge of other arts with aikijujitsu to create his own art of Aikido. Daito Ryu Aikijujitsu was supposed to have been a type of Jujitsu founded by Takeda. Takeda's son further developed it later on and renamed it Aiki-Budo.

Daito-ryu aiki-jujutsu is the forerunner to many Japanese budo martial arts, i.e. aikido and contemporary jujutsu and its derivatives.

Is essentially a toned-down version of jujutsu mixed with the founding elements of aikido.
