So far who has been your team's MVP? Your team's biggest surprise? Your team's biggest disappointment?

For the Flyers I'd say Richards has been the MVP. I would also say Richards for the biggest surprise (who would have thought he'd be leading the Flyers in scoring?). For biggest disappointment, I'd say Gagne, not his fault I know but I was really looking forward to seeing what he could do with Briere centering him, to me that has been disappointing.

Anybody see that pass he made to Marleau last night? Thing of beauty.
How about the goal the night before where the player scored and went flying over the net? I think it was Stempniak maybe.

Just wondering if any of you know of past or presant goalies who've worn player skates insead of goalie skates? Is there a style of goaltending that lends it's self to using player skates over goalie skates?

I saw this item on RDS and my French is not good, but the Buffalo Sabres will no longer be associated with the Rochester Americans is what I got from it. Why would the Sabres give up on a well-attended AHL team in their own backyard?

anyone else sick and tired of it? There were so many more important and better games than pittsburgh's win last night. How about the devils overcoming a 3 goal deficit in the first period to win in OT, and the aftc they've won 8 straight and Zach Parise has scored 8 goals in his last seven games and had a second 4 point game out of his last three games? How about the Sens finally getting a win? Scotty Neids announcing he's back?
No, Sid the Kid is the big story.

I mean come on it is paintfully obvious that espn only covers the sports that they show on their channels. They talk about the same football teams, the same baseball teams, and they cover basketball relentlessly.

It is annoying as a sports fan to see the same old crap over and over again on ESPN. I think it would be good to have hockey games back on mainstream TV, a real tough guy sport unlike basketball or baseball.

Tom Brady will cough, and ESPN will be there with a microphone.

THERE IS MORE TO SPORTS THAN WHAT LEBRON JAMES HAD FOR DINNER!!!!!!

but yeah do you think they will ever pick it back up, or is the NHL doomed to sub par coverage forever?

Martin Lapointe is still playing hockey? LOL. He hasn't even crossed my mind since Boston signed him to what was a ridiculous deal back in 2001, I think it was 5 years for 25 million. I remember Montreal being ticked off because they as much (maybe more if I recall).
I see he scored his 1st of the season tonight.

What contracts do you back on and say, what the heck were they thinking? I can think of several others but let's hear yours.

FYI, the weather on Monday caused my computer to get a little wacky, so I had to spend a few days trying to get it working on my own, and a little trip to Geek Squad to perform an exorcism has me back here with my accounts still intact.

To make this a hockey question, what would be a great nickname for that rat's nest on Engblom's noggin?

I'll suggest "Divot".
