Sidney Crosby finally makes his first trip to Western Canada tonight. Thank God for the schedule change.

How do you think he will be recieved in Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver? Cheers or jeers?

Hank Snow's nephew, not Bing's. Sadly, you probably know who I mean.

I think he will be cheered in Edmonton and Calgary and booed in Vancouver. They feel snubbed by him skipping a prospects game years ago.

Puckdat, while Snow is also from Nova Scotia, no, not really.

Bing Crosby's nephew has never toured Western Canada before? How sad..........But hey..........he's going in time to sing White Christmas every evening!

(Would it be sad to say that when I was 12, I went and saw a Bing Crosby performance (we didn't call them concerts in the 50s))

Yes, I know who Hank Snow is.............and Dick Nolan

It is pathetic. At least the situation's rectified now... There might even be two games added to the regular season! Weeee! Playoffs will probably go into July now. LOL.

Cheers or Jeers?: Both. Same as anywhere.

He said it's like his 1st season again and he's excited to go to a new place. (What's the temp up there tonight, like -60F? Haha.) I'm excited. Love the West. It's fast-paced.

Wish Sheldon Souray wasn't on the IR. I wanted to see Colby Armstrong tackle Souray and wail on him like he did to Armstrong last season. Grrr.

I don't think people will really do anything about his presence in the West.

As for Bing Crosby: I HATED that Bing Crosby Christmas album. When I was a kid, that was the only Christmas record we owned, and something about it made me feel embarrassed. I guess it was the way he'd go "jing, jing, jing jingle-lingle, jingle all the way". Just typing it made me blush. What a corn-nut.

Don't think he'll get the warm reception that he is used to from Western Canada. They've seen the greats before..so what have you done lately is the western credo. Hometown fans come to see their teams win, so the beast of the East will have to play exceptionally well to get any cheers...

Really, he's Hank Snow's nephew? I did not know this.

Having worked at a C & W radio station I am well aware of Hank Snow.

Jeers

Hopefully he'll be jeered.
That jeering will give him the legit credit he deserves.
The more hate..the more respect the fans really have for him.

I was vaguely watching Sportsnet Leafs pre-game and they touched upon this. From what I remembered, they didn't really care and it came off as if they didn't want him there. As I said before, I was vaguely watching it, and it could've been my own hopes. lol

It's on TSN now, Bob. I just tuned in after South Park's stem cell research episode.
