if you are the coach, what would you do? trying to win or get a draw?

how are you going to attack? long ball? small group penetrations?

Five Englishmen in an Audi Quattro arrived at a European border checkpoint. Paddy, the Customs officer stops them and tells them: "It is illegal to put 5 people in a Quattro, Quattro means four"

"Quattro is just the name of the automobile," the Englishman retorts disbelievingly. "Look at the papers: this car is designed to carry five persons."
You cannot pull that one on me," replies Paddy. "Quattro means four. You have five people in your car and you are therefore breaking the law.
"The Englishmen replies angrily, "You idiot! Call your supervisor over. I want to speak to someone with more intelligence!"

"Sorry," responds Paddy, "Officer Murphy is busy with 2 guys in a Fiat Uno."

Yes yes, we all know about his occassional flops and blunders, but do you really think he is in Man Utd, arguably one of the best football club in the world, for nothing?

If you had been a die hard Utd fan, you will have read from stories that Gary Neviile is a strong leader on the pitch and in the dressing room and he has a real desire for winning. And for performance, his last season's display, played only haf of the season after being injuried but yet still voted in the EPL dream team, says it all.

So for me, he is something of a legend. But again I will state that what I said maybe bias because of me being a Man Utd fan.

Now I leave it to you to have your say on the issue.

Great England may stand a chance of now qualifying. Does anybody else think "dirty" money is the reason? Am absolutely delighted with the results and now England just have to win against Croatia. BUT I feel deep down money is the reason - too much of it in English football for them not to qualify. I am not a great follower of football - but MORE THE POLITICS i.e. MONEY side of looking at the game - and I think somebody has been given a nice little back-hander for Israel to defeat Russia. Opinions please.

Years ago David Beckham was praised and almost worshipped. When people said England and soccer Beckham usually found its way into the conversation. He used to be the symbol of soccer in England. He may not have been the best but he was still a very good player. He moved to the Galaxy so that he could give publicity to soccer in the U.S. He has a ton of endorsements. You should atleast show him the respect he deserves. Show him the same respect that he got when he was still in England. When Zidane's and Pele's careers ended nobody critisized them. Zidane was red carded and thrown out of the World Cup finals. I'm a fan of Zidane too but, come on you can't just call someone a loser just b/c they come to the U.S. to play soccer.

Mine was Leeds v Derby around 97. We we're 3-0 down after 30 minutes and I was seriously thinking of going home. We managed to get it back to 3-2 by half time. In the 80th minute we equalised and the place erupted. Then in injury time we got the winner, I lost my voice. Brilliant

If you can't think of any answers just give me an Arsenal, Liverpool or Chelsea joke. If it's good you'll get 10 points!

High Ticket prices, expensive team shirts, more and more 'directors boxes' in modern stadiums that take up normal seating space. How can the average joe afford to watch his team play when it costs and average of £22.50 to see a top class (top two divisions) team play.

Has the game of football been taken away from the original working class fan base it was founded for?
