Only English fans think they are the best, what baloney., actually the individual players are ok, but they don't know how to play a smart game, to many long balls, heading the ball just to clear, with no awareness to pass the ball,to many wasted shots on goal, that finish up in the stands. (and all the fans think it was a great try), In other words what I am trying to say they are undisciplined. The answer is to have a manager who knows the modern game, and will not put up with any crap from any player. Instead England hires a manager time after time because he is a nice guy. Come on it is very obvious McClaren doesn't have a clue, and neither did any of his predecesors. If England want a winning team they are going to have to look outside the British isle, for someone who will not put up with the undisciplined kick and run style game of which England play.

We have to accept England are not the best, we have token English players playing in the Premiership. It hasn't helped, that they are playing with World Players, infact I believe it has made them worst for it. The old joke of premedonna footballers, has come true.
I feel its time to bite the bullet and start looking at the Championship for English players, they have a greater passion and more importantly, if there were less foriegn players in the premiership. These top Championship players would find places in Premiership sides with ease.
I really do see this being the way forward.

It would be worse if we thought that we weren't the best, as we should always go into a game believing that we can win.
There are various reasons, in my opinion, as to who's to blame;
The players. Many seem to have forgotten what an honour it is to represent their country at a sport. They harbour the dreams of literally millions of "ordinary" folk, and they are paid handsomely to play.
The Club Managers. They constantly wail at the effect that playing international football has on their players and their club performances.
Foreign Players. I'm fully in favour of foreigners plying their trade where they wish, as I do myself. As long as they obey the law and pay their taxes then they are fully within their rights. That said, there isn't enough English players playing at competitive level. The Premiership Clubs, plus those of the Championship must form a league combining their reserve squads. There should be at least two UEFA Cup places awarded to the Champions and Runners up, plus the possibility of competing at the Olympic Games for these players.
