They really don't deserve to qualify, but I hope they do. The match agaist Croatia is going to be a tough game, Coartia is a better team than England, but England will have a slight advantage because they are playing at home. I don't thinkEngland play to a plan, they just go on the field and try to do their best, they play an outdated game of Kick and run, and when they score it is usually a player gets lucky, and no real set plays with a moving ball. What England is really in need of is a good coaching staff and a new manager, knowing England that is not about to happen to soon. Oh well!! I will still hope we can qualify, even if it just to say we did.

I think the old adage that "the table never lies" is true here ... there have been team in the premiership "too good to go down" and they were relegated ... the truth is that if you finish in the top 2 of your qualifying group then you deserve to qualify.
Maybe in future FIFA should include style marks to ensure that the teams playing pretty football get through ...

if England have enough points after Wednesday then yes, they do deserve to qualify. If you want to know if i think they are good enough to make a mark on the tournament then no, the way they are playing at the moment they won't make a mark, i'm afraid we need a little more 'blood and guts' than we have now. take care and good luck.

No. We have been treating the teams in our group i.e. Croatia and Russia as world powers - they are not. I doubt that either side would qualify for the knockout stages if they were both to progress. When we played in Russia and Croatia, we gave them far too much respect. We treated them as world powers and we were very defensive when actually the best way to go at them was to attack them. Someone with a lack of tactical knowledge wouldn't see that the best way to get at them is to attack them. I bet if England go 1-0 up on Wednesday they will put 10 or 11 men behind the ball and park the bus infront of the goal. We are the home side, we have the better players, we should be going at them, but we won't because with Steve McClown as manager that won't happen. We need a man who knows tactics, Fabio Capello for example. He would change English football, maybe we would see players who actually want to play for England, not players like Steven Gerrard who aren't actually bothered about playing for their country. People should look at the under 21's. The players playing there want to play for their nation, give them a go.

We'll soon see on Wednesday night when the pressure is on. All the money these over-paid idiots get and they crumble under the littlest of pressure, make's me sick to my stomach!!! And not to mention the fact that we have player's like Gerrard and Lampard in the team. Like Rooney and Owen, these player's deserve to be in major tournaments. They play well for there club, so maybe we'll see on Wednesday whether they actually have any passion for there country!!

If we get through we get through. So I guess we do deserve to go through because of our position in the table. The bigger issue is we have struggled in a group that, with the team we have, we should have topped. Maybe we expect too much from them I don't know. I certainly don't expect us to get very far next summer if we get through

Agree with Damian, we lost a couple of games but so have others, if we get there it's on our own merit, as much as Israel helped us the other day we still had the points to make it possible and still need to get at least a draw on Wednesday.

If a team finishes in the top two of their respective group then they deserve to qualify.
It's as simple as that.
It's black and white.
