I have to say i blame the manager. Its not as if liverpool cant play well, my dad used to lecture me about how liverpool could play better then united and arsenal put together.
But rafa needs to find his best 11 and play them a lot more so Liverpool can get some consistancy in their results. Torres came and before he got injured Rafa played him like 1 game out of three. Look what he did at fulham. Also that game was the 1st time Rafa stayed with the sme team (apart from like 1 change) in years.
Liverpool need 2 buy 1 or 2 world class players and get a world class manager to challenge United for the honours

I really think because Benitez does not take a gamble with the players he has...he can really do better but he's playing too safely atm.
They may be undefeated but they've drawn a lot of games...if you draw 38 games you get 38 pts and expect to be near relegation...take a chance for the win...Benitez lacks that ambition I feel.
I also feel that Liverpool's playing style needs to be changed...keep the ball on the ground because they have the players who can do that. Whilst Benitez needs to show more ambition, the team on the field needs more patience when building attacks...they rushed their play too often against Arsenal a few weeks back.
And thats the difference between 3rd place and Champions.

when you have 7 new players in the rotation, adjustment is expected. they are still adjusting and fine tuning. give them some time.
look at it this way, they tied arsenal and chelsea. they are top teams in the league. that's not too bad. they'll have a better team when they play against them in the next round.
liverpool needs to find the best combination of players. they can only do that during actual games.
i have been watching them for 24 years. i am not worrying too much about it. if they can keep all the players together, they will be competitive. we aren't even at mid season yet. don't need to push the panic button just yet.

Because the manager feels its necessary to make 5 changes for every match! How do you expect the team to gel or find any cohesion? Benitez's tactics have to be questioned, especially when he speaks of rotation and still does not play Crouch with Torres and Vironin out. What does he do? plays Gerrard as a striker!Benitez is way to cautious and needs to be moreattack minded. Liverpool have the players for such a gameplan.

Shut it munzir you queer lover!
Liverpool are undefeated in the Premiership so they definately can't be playing that bad (as opposed to a team that can't win games) Do you really think scoring 10 goals in 2 games is bad?
Munzir your Mecca needs more fan support after Airstrikes are raided down your neck of the woods, son!

The league seems more competitive than last. I guess they need to play with the same intensity as the other clubs.....
