Will England get their undeserved entry into the championship
or will Mclaren truly prove what a wanker he is by failing to get a point against Croatia

Hiddink was only trying to use 'mind games' something that the likes of Sir Alex has been an expert at for years.
England should squeeze into finals with Croatia coming over with basically nothing to play for however although 'laughing stock' may be a bit harsh, England need to get rid of some deadwood and improve as a 'team' should they want to get out the group stages at Euro'08.
Qualification should not hide the fact that McClaren is way out his depth at International level

To be fair, despite Englands abysmal performances in this qualifying campaign, if they had failed to qualify tonight they would have been the team with the highest points total to fail to qualify for a major tournament. A few teams in the past have amassed 20 points and failed to qualify; England currently have 23.

The Steve Mclaren situation is becoming ridiculous; I worry that if we do qualify for Euro 2008 and he's still the manager in June we will become a laughing stock by going out in the group stages. Hopefully the FA will see sense and replace him with Martin O Neill or Mark Hughes before next year's tournament...if we manage a draw against Croatia of course.

As for Guus Hiddink the guy never did know when to shut up. I'm a Chelsea fan but I'm still hoping Mr Abramovich is cursing into his vodka this evening...

Gus who? Mousturdo's money is already on England to lose 2-1 and Beckham to miss a penalty in the last 5 minutes. (Thought 500 -1 were poor odds) It has been foretold. Lumpolard to get England's goal if you want to be more precise.

Dear old Gus. Always trying to put down England and our premiership clubs. This is due to his almost non-existent success against them. I was so pleased when Russia lost not just because it gives England a chance of qualifying but because hopefully it will shut him up.
