not one person has researched this. this is a club that has 14,000,000 registered supporters. Not only do they play football, but they also play at least another 10 sports

If you use CL as the measuring stick, then Milan is currently the biggest. In the last 20 years it has won 5 times and has been in the finals 3 more times.
As for the fan base, Manchester United probably has the biggest base, although I think it's simply because English is one of the more popular languages on the planet, not because the club is any better than the other major clubs. In the U.S. and Canada on CL match days they only show British clubs' matches, so it's natural that the public only knows those clubs. Same thing with Real and Barcelona in Latin America.

Chelsea.... even the americans love us! Lol. Id say Chels or Man u, because they are really the only well known clubs outside of europe. Shame that some people try and force their answers on others. I've not got a screw loose, I've been a SUPPORTER of my club for over 19 years. Try even getting to a game. Oh yeah....you can't. hahahaha. Justice.

1 billion people worldwide watched United v Arsenal.
The English Prem is the most popular league in the world, and United are the biggest club in England, so it's a no-brainer.
