Yes yes, we all know about his occassional flops and blunders, but do you really think he is in Man Utd, arguably one of the best football club in the world, for nothing?
If you had been a die hard Utd fan, you will have read from stories that Gary Neviile is a strong leader on the pitch and in the dressing room and he has a real desire for winning. And for performance, his last season's display, played only haf of the season after being injuried but yet still voted in the EPL dream team, says it all.
So for me, he is something of a legend. But again I will state that what I said maybe bias because of me being a Man Utd fan.
Now I leave it to you to have your say on the issue.

Neville is a good players but i think he should retire, his keep having injuires that makes him miss matches and he hardly even not played for Man Utd for the last what..6 months-thats half years and also he had the same problem last year, this time of the year.
He should retire or make someone else the CAPTAIN, how the team can relay on to play matches and win most of them!
so i say hate

He has been the most consistent right back in England for many years. Richards has performed well during Neville's injury but is not a natural full back. Other than Richards there have not been any right backs equal to or better than Neville for years.

hi there.being a life long man utd fan i may be a little biased, but gaz neville is probably one of the most consistant right backs in the world today.Man utd are not as balanced witout him,and lack natural width. His crossing from the right we miss greatly along with his support play.He is a born leader and is strong in the tackle.Ok he is prone to the odd blunder but who isnt.As i said i maybe slightly biased but i hope not to much

Has the premiership seen a better right back ? I don't think so ! A total professional, a 110%'er! If you love Man utd you love Gary Neville if not then you probably hate him, but that's just the way we like it and wouldn't have it any other way!
"A TOTAL LEGEND"

do you want to know why this is an issue ?
simply because he makes the game look so easy, hes never been a flair player, and wereas dennis irwin didn't show emotion, off the ball the cool headed neville shows grit and determination. if you were to annalyze nevilles contribution in any given match, its cool calulated football, some may say boring, but positive football with very few mistakes.
and just for the record, he is a better crosser than becks.

I really rate him. Very consistent, has a great winning mentality, and also never lets England down. Look at the number of medals he has won, and the number of England caps he has earnt, and you have the true measure. Whether he can get back into the England team, is another matter.

I think what Gray Neville brings to Manchester United is under appreciated by many but the fact that he's generally perceived as a bit of an "A hole" doesn't help people see those qualities.

Admire his passion, and hate him, he does his best to make sure that he's hated by anyone who's not a Man u supporter. I still hate him even when he's wearing an England shirt.
