Have i missed something here? I didn't realise the prize was awarded to the team with the players who spent the most time diving in the penalty area, rolling around on the floor holding parts of their legs that weren't touched, and for complaining to the referee everytime the opposition came anyway close to kicking the ball...this team was a disgrace. Look how the France fans booed Ronaldo right from the start of the Semi-Final after what he did against England. The German fans did the same in the 3rd place play-off!

Italy 2006 - the luckiest winners ever?

Sport is a mixture of skill and luck and this Italian team are simply the luckiest team ever. In the first game against Ghana, Ghana had two clear penalties not given. Against the USA they were very fortunate not to loose against the Americans who were easily the better team for 70 minutes. In the third game against the Czech Republic, the Czechs had a player sent off far too harshly.
They then got probably the easiest group of 16 draw ever as their reward: against Australia they had to dive in the area to get a undeserved penalty - the celebrations of the Italian players showed they knew it was a cheat. AND THEN! the easiest of Quarter Finals ever against Ukraine who were never going to score if they played for months. They took two hours to score against a weak and inexperienced German defence to get to the final. And the final....well...a second clear penalty not given, Viera!... and who knows what they did to Zidane. In the end they beat one team in normal time fairly - Ukraine

Canavaro is the one Who deserve to be the best player in the World Cup 2006?

I think Zidane was not better than Canavaro.. For the record I love Zidane.. but actually Canavaro had solid performances during this Tournament in every match.. Zidane played well against Brazil but he was Horrible at the first round.. he was good against spain.. and he did not perform well against Portugal.. What do you think?

I thought the French didn't like to fight but they are great cheapshot artists with the headbunt cheaters never prosper and not show their faces again for that embarassment among other things.
