Portugal the most entertaining team in the World Cup????

Have i missed something here? I didn't realise the prize was awarded to the team with the players who spent the most time diving in the penalty area, rolling around on the floor holding parts of their legs that weren't touched, and for complaining to the referee everytime the opposition came anyway close to kicking the ball...this team was a disgrace. Look how the France fans booed Ronaldo right from the start of the Semi-Final after what he did against England. The German fans did the same in the 3rd place play-off!

I should add that Ronaldo's running away from Manchester is extremely entertaining...

Absolutely correct. Ronaldo might as well have been wearing a Speedo as his uniform for the World Cup because all he did was dive on the ground when he got close to the penalty area. He has a lot of talent, but showed that he has a lot of growing up to do if he wants to lead his country to the Cup in the future.

Germany had some impressive goals throughout the tournament and they get my vote for most entertaining.

Portugal is a fun team to watch. They have energy and talent but they just couldn't pull it together enough against the other teams. Even their coach acknowledged that.

Christiano Ronaldo is definitely a good, young player with great potential. His bravado (the wink at the bench & his swagger) after Rooney was red carded did not gain him points with England, France and a lot of other serious soccer fans, nor his comments about Rooney after the game. I like the kid. I think he has the ability to become a great player. But, at this point, he is not a Zidane, nor a Cannavaro, nor a Henry, nor an Odonkor. Being the newest heart throb of teenage girls all over the world has nothing to do with playing world cup soccer.

Italy won the World Cup. That's a fact. Get over it.

Read your question again. "Portugal the most ENTERTAINING team in the world cup?" Didnt say they were classy, didnt say the were the best, didnt say they never dived or complained to the refs. Personally, I think Portugal was the most entertaining team. If you dont think England and Portugal have been very entertained by their performance, than clearly you dont talk to any England or Portugal football fans. I mean honestly, it doesnt say the team that people like the most, it says the most entertaining team. To refresh, definition of entertain as defined by dictionary.com is: To hold the attention of with something amusing or diverting actions. So hell yes they were the most intertaining team.

Portugal was entertaining! They had an amazing team and played extremely well. The Portuguese team is always very exciting to watch because of their style of play and how good they are with the ball. I'm guessing that you're another English fan that is still mad that Portugal won. Get over it! Portugal doesn't dive, take a look at yesterday's 'foul' that lead to the France PK. That was a dive!!

Yeah, they were, but Ghana was more entertaining, as well as very exciting. They knocked off the Czech Republic, out-played the United States, and outplayed Brazil for parts of the math, but were unlucky. On another note, Italy has also been very entertaining, but in a bad way. One day, they win cheaply, the next, they give a hard, solid outing and receive a well earned victory. Portugal has also been entertaining, making the semifinals. On the other hand, they havent scored a goal in over two and a half matches. I think Ghana should get it.
