Football (American) - October 2007

Adrian Peterson, the proud product of the Oklahoma Sooners football machine, is torching the competition in the NFL these days. Clearly, if he weren't in Minnesota, the Vikings would be in terrible shape.

Do you think he'll win this year's Rushing Title, Rookie of the Year award, and/or a Pro Bowl '08 invitation?

Is he truly the next "great tailback" we've seen since the emergence of LaDanian Tomlinson? Or, as some have said, is he the next Eric Dickerson or Barry Sanders? AND don't you know the Detroit Lions are kicking themselves in the head b/c they chose another WR over this stellar RB!

*Every weekend that passes, my answer is confirmed more and more as "yes," to all of the questions above.

Every person who has been on the cover of Madden Football has had bad injuries the next year.
Why does this only happen to players on Madden Football and no other sports game?

... on the New England Patriots, after the Patriots came into Dallas on Sunday and beat the Cowboys, 48-27.

"We'll see them again. If they make it to Arizona, we'll see them again. If they make it to Arizona, we'll see them again."
-- Cowboys receiver Patrick Crayton, saying the Patriots will have to face the Cowboys again … IF the Patriots are worthy enough to earn a shot at Dallas in the Super Bowl.

They have a grade a RB, a promising QB, slowly gelling O line, a solid D.....I just think they're building what will become a really competitive team that might actually challenge some top AFC teams next year or the following year. They look pretty promising, I think.

Anyone else agree or am I just reading too much into it?

They were supposed to be world beaters or at least contenders, and now are wondering if they can even compete in a weak NFC West. The Offense is pathetic, as their O line vastly underperforms, RB refuses to take a hit or run strong, receicers who cannot get open, and a QB who is becoming like Grossman before our very eyes.
Am I the only severely disappointed Seahawk Fan? Anyone think they could actually be competitive this year?

I think Brazil or maybe Italy. Any other opinions?

The Vikes lost to the falcons in the NFC Championship, so who agree's that it's still too early in the season to crown the Pats superbowl champs?

run the ball heavy pass ,down the middle thats their weakness and nobody has exploited them yet. i believe if they face the steelers or colts in the playoffs they will lose.

Is there anyway for the country to accept USF as #1? Even IF, big IF, they win out? Or does everyone think they are second tier no matter what they do?

If USF beats Rutgers will they be saying "Watch Me Crank Dat Soulja Boy Then Super Man Dat Hoe" ? USF has a tough road ahead but if they win on the road again, do they finally get respect?

I am a huge Giants fan and am thrilled at their recent ***-kickins, but I fear I will be let down again. What do you think?

the AP polls really pissed me off this weekend. Now im not a huge fan of college football, but when they polls came out, it pissed me off that the badgers are not even ranked. How can a team who were #5 two weeks ago drop to #19 then totally out of the rankings despite the fact they only lost 2 games? Can someone please explain how this systems works? I've never seen the badgers not being in the top 10....
